Fannin Middle School
Parent Involvement Policy
Updated February 9, 2016
Statement of Purpose
Fannin Middle School is committed to the goal of providing quality education for every student in our school and to establish partnerships with parents/guardians, teachers and our community with dedication to excellence in teaching and learning. Parental support for the students and for the school is critical to our children’s success. We recognize that some students may need extra assistance available through various programs to reach their goals. Fannin invites parents to participate in all aspects of the school’s programs. The goal is home-school partnerships that will help all students at Fannin to succeed.
Meeting for Parents
At Open House, grade level house meetings for parents may be held to provide information about expectations for their child. Other meetings may be offered in the evening, early morning, lunch time or after school each semester. Fannin will provide campus Title I program information in English and Spanish to parents/guardians of our students. A written notice about the meeting time and a reminder phone call, email or text when possible will be given. Our Parent Involvement Policy & Compact will be available at Open House and in the front office waiting area to help parents be aware of our Parent Involvement Policy. School administrators and/or Parent Liaison will attend annual training and share information on Title I programs and policy requirements.
